RESILIENCE.
Dr. Christina Schofield’s personal journey through pain, recovery, and resilience makes her the ideal physical therapist, coach, and cheerleader for anyone who has been told by medical professionals that "there isn’t much that can be done." As someone who faced years of injury, surgeries, and setbacks, she deeply understands the frustration of feeling limited and the power of perseverance.
Dr. Christina’s journey began with her own struggles, long before she became the expert she is today. She was always active but constantly injured, with recurring knee pain, tendonitis, and other issues. Despite undergoing physical therapy and multiple surgeries, her recovery seemed out of reach. Doctors often told her to "just stop running" or to "wait for a year," but each time she tried to return, more problems arose. At just 27, she had her first knee surgery and, by 30, was told she had arthritis and was "too young" for a knee replacement. Despite doing everything right, her pain persisted, and she was left feeling as though there was no solution in sight.
After years of pushing through pain, using neurokinetic therapy and other methods to avoid surgery, Christina faced a breaking point. A sudden knee failure while caring for a patient forced her to confront the reality that she could no longer continue living this way. The struggle to find a surgeon who would treat her at such a young age only added to her frustration, but she never gave up, advocating for herself and pushing forward.
Through multiple surgeries, setbacks, and even battles with blood clots, Christina endured a painful recovery process that many would not have been able to handle. Yet, she emerged stronger. She knows firsthand what it’s like to feel weak, to be told that nothing more can be done, and to have her own life put on hold. But she also knows the power of persistence, and how, with the right guidance, support, and care, anyone can come back stronger.
Today, Dr. Christina doesn’t just offer physical therapy — she brings a unique perspective and dedication to helping others achieve what seems impossible. Whether you’re recovering from a recent injury, have given up after being told by doctors that there’s no hope, or have been sedentary and want to rediscover a passion for life, Christina is here to help you rebuild, recover, and become the best version of yourself.
